Behind the Cool Image: Coping with Loss and Navigating the Pathways of Grief
January 25, 2024 @ 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Sponsored by DE-LAP
This seminar will be hosted in Wilmington at the DSBA Conference Center or on Zoom. Zoom links will be sent out prior to the seminar. Please email reception@dsba.org with any questions about the seminar.
Lawyers are human. Subsequently, they experience grief which is a normal human response to the loss of someone or something you love. Moreover, legal professionals confront many emotional issues when they work with clients who are dealing with loss and grief. While trained to address the associated issues, legal professionals are often unprepared to deal with the emotions they find within themselves, as well as their clients. Although a CLE and workshop on grief cannot fully address the uniqueness of an individual’s loss, we can use this program to educate and learn more about the process of grief both personally and professionally.
Once again, DE-LAP is proud to design and host Behind the Cool Image: Lawyering in the 21st Century. As in the past, the series, the lunch and the discussion are all free to Judges, lawyers, staff, and law students. Conversely, and only if you want one (1) ethic credit, the charge is $50.00. Please register on-line at www.dsba.org . For more information, call or e-mail cwaldhauser@de-lap.org
