Part 1- Leveraging Your Skills for Success
No mediation strategy is complete without an understanding of how your personality and professional skills impact negotiations. Professor Christine G. Mooney will take us back to basics to consider styles of negotiation and how we can best leverage our skills in mediation settings.
Professor Mooney has taught at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law since 1999 and currently serves as Director of Professional Skills. Professor Mooney provides training and consulting services in Negotiation skills as well as legal writing and has presented numerous times at regional and national conferences as well as continuing legal education programs. Her scholarly interests focus on negotiation, trial advocacy, legal research and writing, professional skills training and legal education reform.

Part 2: Let’s hear from the panel
The second presentation will be a panel comprised of mediators with real life experience from a variety of State and Federal courts in Delaware. The panelists will discuss topics from a practical perspective, with a goal of introducing practitioners to the world of mediation. These topics will include: case valuation; how best to prepare for mediation; what to expect during mediation; and lawyer responsibilities after mediation.
